A lot of African Rain Rituals basically boil down to lifting up some water over their head, pouring it into the ground, and then shaming the clouds about how easy that was.
isn't it actually about dancing erotically to "make the heavens wet" or sth?
There's literally thousands upon thousands of different related cultural rituals, some of them are that, yes. Some are also shaming the clouds. Some are trying to make gods cry. Take your pick.
