Everyone in sport is money hungry. There is no chance in hell of stopping this without external regulators.

If government regulators tell these clubs they can't do it, only then will it stop. Bc uefa and Fifa can't be controlled by anyone. No government can hold them accountable. Maybe the EU can stop UCL matches from going to the us.

Similarly the leagues from the nations where they take the game, the mls in the us for example, need to fight against it.

I totally agree, what you are saying, and I want to add that players and the fans can stop this too, if not EU. We have to do what we did with Super League, get out there and protest.

MLS would ask for a joined league or something like this, they love money too over there.

The players union has had no substantial impact on the game since the 90s when they threatened to protest.

Personally I wasnt really strongly against the ESL.
