Referencing that other people claim to follow someone with that name is just repeating the rumors you heard, not a direct first hand accounting of his existence.
I would call this statement alone a bit of a stretch.
There is no surviving execution documentation or official documentation of a Jesus of Nazareth.
The earliest non-Christian documents mentioning Jesus were from over 70 years AD.
If you have evidence of any earlier mentions by non-Christians it would be newsworthy.
No they can't because that doesn't exist.
