The latest (proprietary) NVIDIA driver is nvidia-580. I am not familiar with CachyOS, but it may be defaulting to the FOSS NVIDIA driver, Nouveau, which I personally have had stability issues with.
You can check the driver with the command
lshw -c videoornvidia-smiAnother thing you can do is activate logging of Proton with the the launch option
PROTON_LOG=1 %command%in Steam. This will dump a file into your home folder.Thank you. It looks like according to nvidia-smi, I am running the proprietary driver and it is 580.95.05
