That's not even remotely what I said and I don't appreciate the insinuation.

SSDs have been very inexpensive for many years now. Enough that the power bill alone can offset the additional cost.

SSD's are at best like... 3 times the cost of an HDD (and in that case you're scraping the bottom of the barrel finding the worst SSD's known to man)... At worst they are like 5-6 times more expensive. Speaking in absolutes is irrelevant, the relative costs are the ones that matter. Different regions have even higher prices, too.

A 1TB HDD goes for $40-80, depending on how fancy you wanna get. That's very similar pricing to an SSD. Not that any of that is relevant since you can't sell back your HDD so $60 is $60. It's not a lot of money for a massive increase in performance.
