Love that the daily mail doesn't link to the study or the original article that they're pulling from. The study can be found here.

While the conclusion that daily mail is putting forth may be technically correct, it's completely missing additional context. One giant piece of context that's missing is that right wing terrorist attacks are absurdly low this year compared to previous ones. That's it. That's the only reason that left wing terrorism is higher than right wing.

Per the article:

Indeed, a dramatic decline in right-wing incidents in 2025 has contributed significantly to the relative increase in left-wing incidents. So far, 2025 is the first year in the CSIS data where the number of left-wing incidents is greater than the number of right-wing ones.

Further, per table 1, right wing attacks are responsible for 152 attacks resulting in 112 killed in the timeframe sampled, while left wing attacks represent 35 attacks with 13 killed.

This is a deliberate misrepresentation of the true perpetrators of terrorism in the US. Y'all just don't want to hear that.

The title does say this year.
