Yeah it's generally been that way for at least several years but the well of fresh satire ran dry over the weekend 😩

AFAIK this has been the case since flash media was introduced to Windows in like 1999, (IIRC the very first was an add-on called Plus for Windows 98SE and then it shipped with ME and 2000) and was only ever an issue if you were using ReadyBoost.
