Man, this is such a good concept for a show, and they did a really solid job of adapting it from the gamechanger episode. Telling the contestants to jump around and hit multiple people per turn was a nice tweak to the rules. It kept things moving, and I think it also made the comics more comfortable calling back and revisiting people who had already been introduced, which gave the whole thing a much more friendly and conversational vibe.
Not sure how I feel about the addition of the challenge round at the end. Bob absolutely killed it with the "like you're in a library" bit, but I felt like Leah didn't really know what to do with hers and Brennan was so focused on following the rules that he missed a lot of joke opportunities. Not to say any of them were bad. Fantastic showing from all three contestants, and I have every confidence that Jacquis and the production team will continue to fine tune the formula until they get it perfect.
I think Leah did alright with her torture round, but I don't know why they crippled Brennan to the point he couldn't even say "strange". I initially thought it was going to be a heckling round, which could be really funny after they got to know the audience's weak points.
Bob was killing it for the entire show, really knew when to dig deeper and when to veer off into an anecdote. Well-deserved win to be sure.
Brennan was honestly out of his element here. I love to see him, he has a great stage presence, but his strength is in improv theatre.
