Did the USA founding fathers have any thought of how to build a nation? Or did they just kind of wing it and hope it worked? Or did some country help them along with it? (lemmy.world)

If I recall my early American history, some of what they based their first sets of laws on was derived from those of the Iroquois/Haudenasaunee Confederacy.
