hi there, im a newbie.

Is usenet still the way to go and safe in its use with a vpn as normal "consumer"?

Or can it get tracked down like torrenting? i love to have offline access to my media, so streaming isn`t my favor, thats why i landed here. :)

Yep. Most providers give an SSL connection too so no need for the VPN. I've been using Usenet reliably for over a decade now.
