No, but all the trees, rocks, and other beauties in national parks are protected and cared for by park rangers and the state. Wanna see what that looks like without them? Lots of graffiti, people carving shit into rocks and trees, trash left everywhere.

As usual, the answer to "Why can't this be left up to the people?!" is because people are assholes.
