Mulch almost done. Probably wasn't worth the time being honest, better off just ordering it in. The real bugger was cutting it and trying to stuff it in the mulcher. Satisfying though. All up that gave maybe 2 - 2.5m^3. It did smell nice. Guess the other thing is that I know what's in it. Big block so I'm thinking I need another 8-10m^3 minimum.
I think knowing what's in it has more value than you realise, remember the playground asbestos scare? I love not having to chop it down for the green bin which feels like such a waste of time and hurts my hands.
ooh I remember the asbestos thing. Yea I think you're right. The landscaper who did the place maybe 8 yrs ago brought in a whole lot crappy soil / mulch and created a nightmare. When the soil tests came back it was wild. Took so long to get back under control.
I've had mulch that had bits of plastic and glass in it too.
I'm always disappointed when a pile of pruning is lucky to fill the wheelbarrow after a trip through the mulcher attachment, such a let down!
