oh man. sorry to hear that. if its adding unneeded stress to your life, perhaps that time is better spent laughing with your loved ones. if you want to leave them a legacy, im sure they will want to remember the good times.

that being said. as a musician myself, i understand the desire to create. and if you'd like some support developing/finishing your tracks id be open to helping you out. i can mix, or add instrumentation/backing vox.

it sounds to me like the issue stems from noodling instead of creating with direction. which is a totally valid way to make a song of course. but if you want to deliver meaning, i find it useful to make meaningful decisions.

so if you are looking for a feeling, its important to know what 'feeling' you are going for. joyous stuff has shorter reverbs. loneliness as longer ones. hope has increasing chordal tension. anger has swelling distortion.

if you are using lyrics, they can generally guide the piece. try and match your music 'verse' compositions to amplify the message of the vocal/lyric.

perhaps your lyrics are noodly and unfocused in message. if that is the case, its may be that the lyrics are underbaked. and it may be worth while, honing them in. this i feel is my area of speciality so let me know if you'd like some help here.

i find that once the lyrical text is as strong as can be, the music flows more naturally out of that message and it becomes easy to see which way to go because the strong lyric messaging is your base.
