Nice little slice of reality in a video. I, personally, would've liked if you went further into the commercialization of wrestling and mass media appeal. Hogan may have just been the headfigure of the rock n wrestling era, but the start would've been the gold dust trio and especially with Toots Mondt, as he was the advisor of Vince Sr. Breaking with the NWA and consolidating the north east was largely his project, but Vince Jr and his board expanded that during Black Saturday, taking the Georgia Championship Wrestling slot and going national, much to the chagrin of the NWA. The AWA, as much as I like watching the product at the time, was never going to expand from its midwest, minnesota base, as it was considered far too old school during the mid 80s. The biggest spark, i would think, during wrestling was Hogan forming the NWO, as that, alongside the progressive force of ECW, was what rejuvenated pro wrestling during what was then a fairly stagnant era in the 90s. If what was going on during the new generation and dungeon of doom wcw eras continued on, we'd most likely be stuck with local wrestling promotions on streaming and basic cable nowadays.

Definitely all stuff I want to get into in a much longer video looking at the wrestling industry as a whole in more depth, through a dialectical materialist lens.
