Indoctrination in childhood coupled with a lack of education is a hell of a drug.
You have to first get them to acknowledge it's mutilation but that would first require that the acknowledge that they have been mutilated.

This was in America though. So, no, it is not just pros doing it. And even then there are mistakes and complications. It is a medically unnecessary, elective surgery that should be stopped.
hsv1 is quite severe if it infects a immunocompromised individual for the first time. babies, elderly,,,etc.
