ehhhh, our ruling party would like to disagree. We just are way more aware of optics than our counterpart. Plenty of horrible stuff happens here and the biggest party is full on racist.

But they’re better at hiding it behind ambiguity and neoliberal rhetoric than Trump is.

As a Dutchman I know exactly how you feel. Still, our representative democracies allow for a wider range of points of view to be considered rather than in the undemocratic winner takes it all countries.

To bring this argument back to football: I believe that representation and consideration for the beliefs of the fans/members actively improves football culture as well. This is why the traditional Bundesliga clubs are so beloved by their fans.
