The brits were so upset that perfectly good tea was wasted they passed the Coercive Acts.

  1. Close the port of Boston, collective punishment for the whole city.

  2. Take away self-governance for Boston, replacing elected positions with Crown appointees and limiting town meetings in Boston to 1 per year.

  3. Any government officials who commit crimes are tried outside the Colonies. Dubbed "the murder act" as even the soldiers responsible for the Boston Massacre received a fair trial in the Colonies.
