I'll never understand how people can look at what happens to a place when you seed it with thousands/millions of landmines and still think "hey that's a good idea, let's do that!"
Just plant a bunch of hidden murder traps and dust off your hands, no need to think of the next generation(s)! And don't even worry about having a plan to ensure the eventual safe disarming and disposal of these fields of bombs, that's someone else's problem!
They will be very successful at blowing up their own people, that's what they will achieve.
That's what I was thinking, some family on an outing.
All the years of regretful finger-wagging and hand-wringing about land mines these type of people do totally evaporates at the thought of killing Russians. I wonder if there's an historical animosity of some kind at play here? 🤔
