I feel like non political posts are controversial more often now than they were before. Ive seen it on some communities I visit often.

Maybe I'm seeing smth that isn't there.

Maybe its to do with more reddit migrations who aren't as accusatomed to Lemmy?

Has anyone else noticed it?

Yeah normally I look at the percentage upvoted on a post, I used to notice high 90s for most posts, with 80s being very low in most circles. Now I'm seeing a lot more 80s and shockingly common 70s too.

Again ignoring news comms or political comms.

That's a very cool observation. I don't know what to do with it, but it can definitely tell us something.

Maybe there was a shift in comment tonality as well?

I certainly feel there's more negative opinions about Lemmy too. Which everyone is free to have. But a rise is ... interesting
