Collapsing productivity on Australian farms has left a once world-leading sector at risk of being left behind by international competitors.

I don't disagree with any of the technological suggestions in the article, but one glaring omission is how much productivity is being impacted by climate change. Perhaps it's something to consider the next time rural areas vote for the Nats or Libs.
