Amazon is not planning to break out tariff costs online as White House attacks potential move
(www.denverpost.com)
A place for ex-pats from the Denver Post comment section (closing down in July), as well as people that want to discuss Denver Post articles in general.
I think it'd be an enormous help if they did show the detailed information.
If they don't, I sure hope someone else starts to.
It'll be more like hidden fees that you don't see until you're placing the order, I bet.
Third richest man in the world with $215Bn can probably afford to pay for all of Amazon's tariffs for years if he actually wanted to, but I doubt he will.
That wouldnt be legal outside of the US i think
Honestly, it doesn't matter how rich he is personally or Amazon is, it would make zero sense to eat this cost as a business. These taxes are being added to the price they pay when they import them.
I don't exactly love Bezos or Amazon, but...I think the best recourse in this situation would be to do what they originally proposed, but then backed off of, because donvict is a gigantic whiny pussy - and that's to give the customer all the information on just why it costs what it costs.
