It's a thing I'm having a problem with recently, even for protests of our party. It's becoming a circlejerk of who can make the funniest or quirkiest sign basically, which to me gives the protest a silly look. Or there are protests in which people dress up like something silly, like a lemon.
No idea what I do want to see but the goofy behavior makes me cringe.
