The recording process can easily destroy a band. I've had it happen before. It's a crucible of sorts.

I think age had a lot to do with it, as they aged a bit their personalities were becoming more set and differences in work process became more of a difficulty they couldn't overcome.

Ringo never changed, hardest working of the lot he was. imo

I'm not a muso but I've always thought if you locked me in one of those boxes for hours on end day after day with other musos, repeatedly making the same noises.... I wouldn't last.

Sometimes you don't realise how much you dislike someone until you spend more than a couple of hours a week with them lol
