Lemmy is literally the same format as Reddit, except instead having some company running it all, its run in bits and pieces by the people who would largely be moderators, or at least found subreddits, on Reddit. That decentralized nature has benefits, thats why Im here after all, but being the same format and to a large degree literally the same people as are/were on Reddit, well it shouldnt be surprising to see act similar.
