Sometimes people forget the beauty of the night sky

Also light pollution has mostly ruined it for large portions of the world population. The night sky on a remote island is absolutely incredible. People don't even know what they're missing.

I recently learned there's actually a "darkness park" in the north of my country. Basically a place without light pollution. I kinda wanna visit it sometime during a new moon

Yeah you totally should. I have had some of the most peaceful moments in my life when stargazing. Sometimes I feel like it connects me spiritually with every human that ever lived across time and space. We are all equally insignificant in the context of the universe, and yet equally blessed to witness its grandeur.

We shall do it then

I was so pleasantly surprised to find my phone has an astrophotography mode! I've been holding off on doing anything related to that because it's such an expensive hobby, but now with my phone and a cheapo tripod I can get some nice images. A little blurry but better than nothing! It's been great :D

Oh ye, I've got an app for that too! It's great!

If we gave everybody night vision we could get rid of the lights
