Breadtube if it didn't suck.
Post videos you genuinely enjoy and want to share, duh. Celebrate the diversity of interests shared by chapochatters by posting a deep dive into Venetian kelp farming, I dunno. Also media criticism, bite-sized versions of left-wing theory, all the stuff you expected. But I am curious about that kelp farming thing now that you mentioned it.
Low effort / spam videos might be removed, especially weeb content.
There is a cytube that you can paste videos into and watch with whoever happens to be around. It's open submission unless there's something important to commandeer it with at the time.

I know it's literally impossible where I am to rent a 1 bedroom apartment that costs $1500 a month unless you can prove you make at least $70,000 a year

when my partner and i moved to the bay area in california we didn't qualify for a 1 bedroom apartment that cost $3200 a month even though she was starting a job at $100k/yr. We had to add in a somewhat bullshit salary for me at $50k because my previous boss was willing to lie to help us out.
I tried to pay the entire lease up front and they said no lol
wow! hard to imagine turning down a lump sum like that.. but i can also see why they might because once we got our apartment at 10 months in they sent out the renewal and jacked the price up another $800 which forced us to move
