This week in KDE: System Settings modernization and Wayland color management
(social.opendesktop.org)
KDE is an international technology team creating user-friendly free and open source software for desktop and portable computing. KDE’s software runs on GNU/Linux, BSD and other operating systems, including Windows.
If you encounter a bug, proceed to https://bugs.kde.org, check whether it has been reported.
If it hasn't, report it yourself.
PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING HERE.
Developers do not look for reports on social media, so they will not see it and all it does is clutter up the feed.
@thisweekinkde @kde@floss.social @kde@lemmy.kde.social i still have hope that someone will pick up LIM and implement it in KWin
What's LIM?
@QuazarOmega Locally Integrated Menu! You can read more here: https://discuss.kde.org/t/a-bit-of-unity-in-kde-locally-integrated-menu-and-hud/4008/
Oh I see, with the help of another thread I understood what that is
I guess the improvement that it provides is space saving right?
Mainly, one less click to open the menu.
Currently, you have the option to add a button to the Title Bar which opens a menu having all those options.
The LIM will instead add all the options from the menu, to the Title Bar itself
@QuazarOmega Yup! And it should work better than hamburger menus (oh dear Charles Darwin, how I hate them...)
