Team Luna
Luna is currently in its early stages, and your feedback holds immense potential to shape its future direction. This is the app that aims to have it all, plus a little extra.
In terms of features, Luna boasts an extensive range that stretches beyond basic posting and commenting. But that's not all โ I've taken the liberty to incorporate many more based on the suggestions received during this process. Notably, the addition of various filters, such as keyword, site, read, and NSFW, has been significant. Plus, there's room for more โ additional filters can easily be implemented upon request.
As for my own contributions, I've introduced various enhancements. Some, like the replacement of links (e.g., twitter->nitter), have been well-received successes. Others, such as direct site connection and search upon clicking, are in progress, while a few, like the option to copy post links, may border on extraneous clutter.
Admittedly, there's still plenty of polishing required, and the layout is a work in progress. Bugs, if encountered, will be swiftly dealt with. If you're up for exploring something that's a tad unpolished but brimming with potential, I invite you to join the beta. Let's collaborate in refining Luna โ the Lemmyverse app that's delightfully extra
(Edited with ChatGPT)
This app and its icon are dead ass ugly. You guys cannot be serious.
Dude, come on. It's a first release. You rush to be the first post to tell them it's ugly? Give them time and see what happens.
The icon is a placeholder made from the recolored fediverse icon I threw together in 20 mins. I know what the actual one will be, but it'll take 6-12+ hours to put together
The visuals will take at least 5-7 days of tweaking unless I find examples of something similar to reference
Instead, I fixed bugs, and posted a beta to get feedback on what I should prioritize.
In that time, I could get a ~15x performance increase, add a dozen random requested features, add kbin and maybe mastodon support, or get halfway through building custom feeds by stitching multiple sorts across accounts and servers.
I build adaptable code, and so I built a foundation. I'm a photographer, not an artist - making things pretty is pure trial and error for me, because I can't picture the end result. I haven't started to try to make it pretty or optimized, I just made it extremely capable and clean enough that I could use it
Can you give specifics of what you find grating instead of just telling me it's ugly?
