ADMINS
c/cursedicecream@lemmy.ohaa.xyz: Cursed Ice Cream Flavours

Every so often, a new image of an oh so cursed ice cream flavour appears on the internet. This is where all of those come thogether.

Rules:

  • Has to be an image of a cursed ice cream flavour.
  • Image can be edited, the flavour does not have to be real.
  • No AI generated posts. Fuck generative AI.
  • Title has to be the given name of the flavour, or an English translation if it's not in English.
  • Meta posts are allowed, but have to be labeled with "[META]".
  • Crediting the original creator of the image would be nice - but I know, how hard it is to find the origin of cursed images.
  • The usual things are forbidden: Homo- / Transphobia, Fashism, Hate Speech etc.
  • Content that's illegal in Austria and Germany is forbidden.
  • NSFW is allowed, but needs to be labeled accordingly.

c/MensGrooming@sh.itjust.works: Men's Grooming

An inclusive, friendly space for maintaining one's face and body.

This is meant to be a general purpose community. Beard care, shaving, hair care, body and skin care, as well as the ever popular manscaping. Baby bottom smooth to sasquatch abundance.

There is a lot of overlap in techniques and products, so women are absolutely allowed. It's all about helping each other help ourselves. Try to keep posts and questions focused on men's grooming, of course, but if it's at least tangential, no big deal.

Trans men are specifically welcome. It shouldn't need saying, but it is, so come on in and pull up a frothy shaving mug with your fellows.

Keep it friendly; remember, we're here to help each other. Part of that is knowing when to walk away.

No NSFW content please. We don't need to see your junk to help with it.

c/Sealioning@lemmings.world: A community for posting examples of sealioning and similar forms of trolling

Rules:

  1. pls obscure all usernames!

  2. This is not a community for trolls. this is a community for raising awareness of these types of trolls and how they operate.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sealioning

Sealioning (also sea-lioning and sea lioning) is a type of trolling or harassment that consists of pursuing people with relentless requests for evidence, often tangential or previously addressed, while maintaining a pretense of civility and sincerity ("I'm just trying to have a debate"), and feigning ignorance of the subject matter.[5][6][7][8] It may take the form of "incessant, bad-faith invitations to engage in debate",[9] and has been likened to a denial-of-service attack targeted at human beings.[10] The term originated with a 2014 strip of the webcomic Wondermark by David Malki,[1] which The Independent called "the most apt description of Twitter you'll ever see".[2]

Sealions are adorable animals. the trolls, not so much. If you see an example of sealioning, feel free to post it here!

Quick example would be something like a person saying "the US is currently ran by a fascist who supports genocide", which is referring to Donald Trump supporting Israel. The sealion will reply with "who? What genocide?" the sealion knows what the person means but pursues them for relentless requests of evidence as a way of trying to waste the person's time. recognising sealioning is the most effective means of dealing with them

c/Conservative2@lemmy.today: Conservative2

Wait! I'm not with THEM! There's an unfortunately loud part of the country that is giving the GOP, conservatives, and Americans a bad name. This comm is for the rest of us, the quiet majority. If there is anything worth conserving, it's our values: Respect, Integrity, and Truth.

This comm is for the posting about US politics from a right, but not alt-right, perspective.

Rules:

  1. Treat each other with respect. Follow lemmy.today instance rules. Follow your instance rules.
  2. Social media posts must either include a timestamp in the image or be accompanied by a timestamp in the text of the post. Posts with an inaccurate or missing timestamp will be removed. Relative timestamp (e.g. "5 mins ago") will be removed.
  3. Only use high quality news sources. They all have bias, but quality and truth are a requirement. News articles must have a non-fictitious, non-anonymized byline. Fox is not a high quality news source.
  4. Don't post memes, but you can comment with them.

c/heritagefoundationcrazyboard@sh.itjust.works: Heritage Foundation Crazy Board

There's a lot of convoluted history behind what led to Project 2025, and that's likely on purpose.

This is a place to collect information about that history into one place. Hopefully, this will also help increase awareness and discussion about everything that is truly behind this history.

Any odd or interesting information relating to the Heritage Foundation, and it’s members or affiliate groups is welcome here.

If you’ve got obscure information/articles written by or mentioning people like Paul Weyrich, Ed Feulner, or information about other associates and affiliate organizations, such as the Coors Brewing family , the Council for National Policy (CNP), State Policy Network, and countless other shady ties, please drop them here.

c/upf@lemmy.cafe: Ultra Processed Food

This community is here to raise awareness, share resources, and support each other in choosing real, whole foods over heavily processed alternatives.

Deism is the belief in the existence of God—often, but not necessarily, an impersonal and incomprehensible God who does not intervene in the universe after creating it, solely based on rational thought without any reliance on revealed religions or religious authority.
