My sister asked how he had the flute afterward, like it was some kind of magic.

My dude, he replicated it. They can make more than just food from those things. That's one of the reasons they don't give replicators to everyone who asks.

If you had the 80 year lifetime that included the experience of hand crafting your own flute, you could just craft another one once you wake up.

Maybe instead of a drug invent a virus form that does the same. Or like a memetic agent hidden within commercials.
