Very much reminds me of the thing from Look Outside

[–] BazaarMonk@lemmy.world 1 points 4 days ago

Oh cool. Thanks for letting me know about that, it looks awesome.

I enjoyed this drawing. Reminds me of Junji Ito.

Looks cool, how long did it take to make and why are they wearing suits lol is it a commentary of sorts

[–] BazaarMonk@lemmy.world 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Thanks! This drawing took around 60 hours, over the course of about a month and a half. Honestly, no reason for the suits, I just wanted to draw people in suits. I would love to hear your interpretation of why they are in suits.

[–] BackgrndNoize@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

The houses look like homes in countryside or farms etc, and that's why the suits caught my attention as it does not look like people who wear suits live there, since the suit people are also eyeball people, I thought maybe they represent the rich who are gobbling up family homes and land as investment, until something beyond their comprehension comes around to pass judgement

I really like that interpretation. The original inspiration for the whole concept was H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds and taking place in the countryside. I like that thought of city folk escaping the cities thinking they're safe out in the country, which unfortunately they were not.

Very nice!

Have you cross posted this !artshare!artshare@lemmy.world? That community also loves this type of content as well so it might be worth sharing there too.

This looks like A Eye to me

[–] BazaarMonk@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I've included some work in progress pics for you. Please don't accuse actual artist's of using AI when all you have is a 'hunch'.

[–] errer@lemmy.world 3 points 5 days ago (1 children)

It was a pun. It is literally A Eye.

[–] BazaarMonk@lemmy.world 4 points 5 days ago (1 children)

My apologies. Whoosh to me

[–] Dozzi92@lemmy.world 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I'm glad you got whooshed because I like seeing the progress pics. It was all for the best!

This would make a killer puzzle.

[–] BazaarMonk@lemmy.world 2 points 4 days ago

Awesome! Yeah, I kind of wish I could post more than one pic in the original post but I may just post them in the comments from now on. A puzzle would be sick.

Looks like you need a new Eye to me. I document my drawing process on my instagram at electricbrainstem to show that everything I draw is hand drawn with a simple pencil. I apologize that it may be hard to believe for you.
