I sure hope there's a wired version, though.

I'm pretty sure that that's a USB-C port at 0:21. Unless it's only for charging, I imagine that it can at least be used in wired mode (unless you specifically want a wired-only device).

Yeah, sounds like it can be used in wired mode.
Includes USB-C® cable for in-use charging and wired connection.
I'm a huge Kensington Expert Mouse fan. I've owned dozens of them for the past 3 decades and I have 5 in constant use, at home and at work. I use no other pointing device - apart from my MNT Reform laptop's trackball, whose buttons I remapped in the firmware to be like the Expert Mouse's.
I will most definitely get that new one. Thanks for putting it on my radar!
Kensington was my first trackball, I loved it... until it died. It was replaced with the same model, and when that one died the only replacement I could find was Logitech. Now I moved to elecom, but would give a new Kensington a spin!
Edit: however after watching the video, I would not try this model. I have never liked this design, I prefer using my thumb to move the ball.
My elecom finger trackball is hanging on for dear life as it now has intemittent mouse double click and I'm tired of the crap power switch. Yes I could use wired but I think the port's damaged.
Been looking at ploopy adept (the one that's pike this Kensington) but am wary with no scroll wheel at all.
I can get all the scroll wheels I want and seems to have extra buttons that I'll miss from the elecom if I move to the ploopy.
Edit: no mention of sensor DPI though in the product page
