Food stamps are about to run out, and people aren't just going to lay down and starve.

The pithy saying is "three meals till anarchy" and it probably won't be that fast, but after a certain accumulated quantity of hunger it will transform into the quality of food riots or organized food looting gangs. Especially since it's too cold to grow anything.

If the dems had a single brain cell they would be able to capitalize on this greatly.

Use their donor money to provide mutual-aid, run their own food banks once SNAP runs out, they very well could with how much is in their coffers. They wouldn't lose another election in decades if they pulled a Black Panthers and fed people when the government wouldn't.

They won't though. They'll bend their knee October 31st right before SNAP benefits run out because they don't want to spend party money to help the masses.

The unions could seize on this too - form unemployed/underemployed councils and use their funds to provide food to the hungry while also organizing them into a political force.

A vanguard party should seize on this opportunity

For all the concern trolling about muh crime rate done by annoying bougie people, I think it will pale in comparison to what's coming. I think the AI bubble bursting is gonna be the flashpoint where all these other crises converge into one and give a lot of people nothing left to lose, even the ones with nice lifestyles who think they're immune to it. Tons of people fell and never got back up after 2008.

When that happens the democrats are just going to see a bunch of pissed off, desperate people and sit on their asses and wait for them to crawl to them for help like they've been doing forever. That's the beauty of liberal democracy, it's a bear race where you don't have to be the fastest, you simply don't have to be the slowest.

It'll blow up in their faces of course. Or maybe not, and they get to fritter away another 4 years and then do it all again.

Not sure why it seems to be lagging behind but it will probably happen like a tidal wave which I imagine is exactly what Trump would love to see.
