- make any kind of progress with eating disorder
- continue the lazy exercise I've had going the last couple months, at a minimum
- attempt to date instead of doing nothing and feeling lonely
- study my way into a better paying job
- take better care of myself, generally
- be a more attentive friend
I hope your ed gets better, comrade
What do you plan on studying?
I hope your ed gets better, comrade
ty, I know I can do it, I made some progress a couple years ago, it's just about finding the effort to keep chipping away at it instead of being complacent
What do you plan on studying?
I work in IT, so studying for and passing some kind of certification and then job hopping is the most direct path to $$$, as for what cert specifically? Dunno, when it's not knowledge I get to use daily it's hard to find the motivation to sit down and consistently study. The stuff I find interesting feels like it would be less helpful in a job hunt cause I'm just so far down the ladder from where it would used, and the stuff I should study is boooooooooring
Good luck on both
Mine was just to go to more punk shows, but bird flu may toss a wrench in that.
I need to start reading more
And i need to get in shape
Getting good at grilling
I have 4 resolutions:
- Be nicer to people, just generally. Be more patient.
- Do some sort of kinesthetics/weight training 4-5 days per week. Get strong.
- Do some kind of (Spanish) language learning daily.
- Get organized and hopefully join an org.
2024 was a fucking slog of a year. I was in the trenches from start to virtual finish and I came out better than before so, even though I didn't get to accomplish some of the goals that I am recycling for 2025, I am still very proud of myself for where I am now. We always hit obstacles that are out of our control, it's how we respond to them that is our responsibility. Now I'm in a much better place for my next 5 years, even if Bird Flu and the dang cheeto go wild.
So, for 2025, I want to read through my backlog, watch more films than I did in 2020 (my record), travel internationally again to at least 2 countries, go back to the gym and maintain discipline, eat and look healthier, save money, and plan/enact some career goals.
Read at least two books a month.
Watch 4 new movies a month.
Listen to new music. I might try and listen to an album a day, but theres a good chance I will forget doing that lmao.
Try to talk to my friends more. I think I will be able to do that at least next month because its my bday and I would love to hang out.
Complete my high school completion program and look into a trade.
