I hadn't seen or heard the local magpie or his fledgling (swoopy Boi and bebbe to their mates ..ahem..me) but they both came down to say hi as I left the train station. Little one had a sing at me. Then we all got swooped by a pair of red wattlebirds....

I think it might be a porridge morning. Feels like minus 1.7 out there apparently.

I feel like I want to treat myself to a meal or something this week.
I’ve been doing so much home cooking to save on costs it’s actually been ages since I had a meal out.
I do look at a lot of reviews and photos of food at cafe but with the increased cost most of it seems to be a very poor way to spend money.
On the other hand I’m awfully tempted to try out Marlo’s Schnitzel maybe or purchasing a mystery pizza.
Yes, mystery pizza, you pay for it for a reduced cost but you don’t actually know what you’re going to get till you pick it up.
It’s an initiative to save on wasting food and ingredients.

The homelessness is getting worse, it's plain to hear and see.
As long as housing is treated as an investment, rather than a necessity and a human right, it will continue to get worse.
