Serioid question here.... I've been so attached to consoles growing up though it will be a bit of a big change.

To me the biggest advantage of PC is that it has so many indie games you can't run out of new stuff to play

You can get yourself a Home Theatre Personal Computer (HTPC) if you want to preserve the console feeling. Get one with a strong integrated or dedicated AMD graphics card and CPU and install a specialized operating system like bazzite.gg which allows you to use Steam's gaming mode overlay similar to a steam deck, note it's not just for games licensed with Steam but emulation and games outside of steam.

Just because you get a PC doesn't mean you become glued to a desk keyboard and mouse combo for the rest of your life.

Or you can just get yourself a Steam Deck directly if you really want and you're not worried about playing any very intensive AAA games with kernel level anticheat rootkits.

Another great part of PCs is that you don't have to pay for networking and multiplayer!!! Micro$$$oft set the standard for forcing you to pay a subscription fee just to play with friends and it is why I will never buy a console from the big three.

Well there are two purposes to consoles. 1. Exclusive content and 2. Form factor

Almost every new major exclusive has been ported to PC and PC has a robust controller support system. But it still requires you to know how to use a computer and estimate specs. Consoles, in theory, only make available games that will run on that console. No thinking involved. What’s your preference

yes if not simply just for modding and piracy.
