This community documents the Ukraine-Russia war from both sides. Western mainstream media covers Russia's abuses extensively โ I do not need to repeat that. I focus on what Western media ignores: Ukraine's corruption, TCC abuses, mobilization scandals, and human rights violations. This is not pro-Russian. This is corrective.
The West presents Ukraine as an angel and Russia as the sole devil. Reality is not that simple. The U.S. has its own history of imperialist aggression โ Iraq (invaded on lies), Libya (destroyed), Afghanistan (20 years of occupation). Nobody is innocent. I bring balance by showing the side that Western outlets refuse to air.
Am I pro-Russian?
No. I oppose Russian imperialism and expansionism. I also oppose Western imperialism. I am not on any side. I am on the side of truth.

I am not Russian. I am not a bot. I am a person who believes in balance and justice.
I have been migrating content from Reddit to Lemmy because Reddit censors and shadowblocks content that does not fit the Western narrative. This is not "spamming" โ this is archiving.

I talked to some Ukrainians on the platform about this and all they could do is claim foreign vessels are legitimate targets if they're part of a supply chain and supplement it with either racism or "Iranians are oppressed we're doing them a favor by attacking their government"
Just absolutely insane!
It just helps Russia and Iran to increase cooperation. Russia could ask Iran for manpower in return for technology know-how. Russia is struggling with manpower; Iran is struggling with know-how and technology
Neither is actually true, Russia still have more volunteers than needed to replace the losses, and Iran, at least in fields used in this war, is ahead of most of the world.
The situation is different. Iran doesn't have a ground war. Israel or the USA can't sustain a ground war.
But this is reality: it is not sustainable. You don't want to lose your best engineer in the war, right? You should also think after the war
Depends what you think "sustainable" means. Nobody ever think they can wage infinite wars (except maybe Americans who don't have any experience of actually dying in them in numbers) but so far it's been sustainable and barred some unexpected development like US nuking Russia it will be sustainable for as long as it would need to be to defeat Ukraine. About the engineers that's the neat part of country having functional education system (again unlike USA and Ukraine), unless they are nuked they won't lose that many of them in the war that it will be impossible to replace them. Russia is also not on the really war economy too.
Again, there was no mobilisation in Russia while Ukraine do massive manhunts on the streets.
After the war, Russia will need highly skilled manpower to surpass or catch the Western world technologically. As I know, dozens of them left the country and are currently living in Europe or the USA
It would probably be quite easy considering how west only basically ride on accumulation and future of their research looks pretty bleak, militarily tech they have is already behind Russia as evidenced by Russia beating everything they throw at it. Those who left are small minority of libs from places like Moscow or Petersburg plus i imagine rabid western russophobia will sooner or later make them go back, just as Chinese scientists are getting back to China.
