I'm a big user of desktop mode on Android phones. Comes in handy when I'm traveling and have access to an external screen.

Most Linux phones, don't have video out for desktop mode. Does your phone support it?

If you're looking for one, I suggest the Fairphone 5. It's repairable and has decent mainline kernel support.

It has Display Port via USB-C.

But I should also mention that the Fairphone 6 does not have video out via USB-C.

It's sad that that omitted it. How is the performance - browsing, remote desktop etc on the 5?

No complaints there. That thing just works.
