We're so deeply fucked, I don't think anyone on earth actually understands how fucked we are... Climate scientists are the closest, but I don't think they can even picture what's going to really happen.
People who have had kids in the past decade really don’t know how fucked their kids are.
Yeah, I see people having kids left and right around me. I understand why you want kids, but in the current state of the world, and the foreseeable future, it seems that these kids will endure suffering we haven't seen as a species in the past 10 000 years, possibly even worse. And then these same people having absolutely no ecological conscience at all, like eating meat at every meal, flying often, voting for ecologically destructive politicians. It feels inescapable and completely dystopian.
