YMMV.
But there's definitely a cohort of very angry people who will scream at you for dying your hair, getting tattoos, or dressing outside the business casual uniform we've been assigned since graduation. "Blue hairs" is practically a slur on the internet. And heaven help you if you're a woman with a bit of goth-tier flare.
Yeah, I'm a little older and didn't know what being called a blue hair meant. The full insult was "limp wristed blue hair" for having the audacity to suggest, let me check my notes, ICE identify themselves.
"Limp wrist" is slang for gay
I knew that one, I actually told the person to call me what they really wanted to, shut them up pretty quick.
