I'm in this picture, but I also learnt over the years that sometimes it doesn't take a lot of knowledge to be the company expert on a topic. It can easily boil down to having asked another company about some information, or having seen something before.
or joining the company under the premise to "self educate" on the topic, resulting in being the only person knowing anything about that topic.
