I've been looking for a red one for my first try maybe this is it. Even if I do it poorly least I was looking forward to a nice red one.
@orbitz From what I've heard, the best red RG kits are this and Sazabi, so you can't go wrong with Epyon. Plus, Epyon has wings.
However, if by first try you mean first gunpla I'd honestly recommend something like the HGIBO Grimgerde due to the tiny pieces in the Epyon (and probably the Sazabi), unless you have either a lot of patience or a decent amount of money.

I appreciate the advice, I imagined I'd find something simple for a first go but do love a fun red look. Overall I know I need to find one in my level first for sure. It just looked awesome and fewer red choices than I hoped for.
So thanks for the reinforcement of a simple start, cause it's easy to take on too much and once for sure.
Yet again not sure if my reply went through from Mastodon, so here's the quoted reply:
@orbitz Looking for anything that isn't just the top 5 of the year is honestly pretty hard. Here are a few High Grade red releases of varying price and availability from the last couple years:

If you have patience and are willing to pivot, you can do a (good) RG kit as your first. You're more likely to finish a kit you like either way.
Thanks for the suggestions I will check them out. I keep having to reread them to remember the grade scale but since it's minimal investment for tools may as well start small and be interested than too difficult/ time consuming and get frustrated without finishing.
