Could a button for showing context be added when viewing a single thread?
For instance, I made a comment under someone else's comment, they replied and I see it in my inbox. When I click on the reply it takes me to the thread where I can see my comment, the reply, and any replies under it. But I can't see the OP comment that I originally replied to.
There's a "Click here to view all comments" button but that shows all threads and I'll have to scroll to find my comment. So is it possible to add a "context" button?

The upvote and downvote counter both should have been positive no? How is it negative in this case?

I am not making a huge fuss about this very tiny of a tiny glitch. But I feel like this can become something much more serious if unknown.

I want to sort feeds by New, but comments by Top. How can I do that?

Infinity had a multireddit feature that let you create your own multireddits. I think it was client side, because I can use it without an account? Will this feature ever come back?

I know there are no multicommunities on Lemmy yet, but it would be cool if we could do it client-side.

Any time I try to apply filters from the home screen, it only filters Subscribed. Is there a way to filter on All or Local? I tried switching the tab order, but that didn't work.

And tapping the number does nothing atm, so I think the hitbox should cover the arrow and number or something

EDIT: yeah just made a sanity check and Infinity has the vote buttons sized properly

I knew it felt weirdly precise compared to old Infinity

Just a small request: There are some attributes that you can pass, so links opening via custom tab will be opened in incognito mode.

Could you add that, maybe as an additional option?

In many places, community mentions are prefixed by an exclamation point.

But when pasting these mentions in the go to community dialog, an error will appear, requiring the user to manually remve that exclamation point before submitting.

It would be nice, instead, to handle it automatically without error.

I need some help to figure out how I can search for new communities that are not yet cached on my instance.

If just search by !somecommunity@someinstance or the url, it just comes up empty everytime.

The only app I managed to get this working smoothly from the ones I tried is Voyager.

Ever since I downloaded the 0.1.1 the post sort type everywhere is stuck on new. I put all my settings back how they used to be before the update, but those settings are ignored. If I set my sort type manually in my feed, every time I close and open the app, everything is set to new again, despite me having toggled the 'save sort type' option.

Comment sort type is normal.

It would be nice if the app would scroll to the top when I click the Subscribed-tab again or twice. Is there a scroll-to-top setting somewhere in the settings?

Hey guys, I've recently setup Lemmy redirect to open all Lemmy links in eternity. But when I press open link in Firefox eternity just flashes with the text "opening link" intermittently visible.

Hey, everybody! Love that this app exists. Infinity was my go to on Reddit, and I've missed having it! For some reason, though, I can't use Eternity with my lemmy main, @startrek.website It has no problem letting me login with this account, but when I try to use my main account, it says it can't fetch the user. Am I doing something wrong?

Occasionally I get this scenario wher I subscribe or visit a community because I liked the posts. But it's empty, where when I use the web version of lemmy, I am able to see the posts. But in eternity it's empty.

How do I solve this?

For some reason I can't see the content I saved in this account (lemm.ee), but I am able to see saved content in my other account (Lemmy.world) Whenever I click the saved button this is what I see

Some extra

• Yes, I tried logging out and back in again
• yes, I tried removing both accounts and logging on just the .ee one
• this is also happening on the current nightly build
• although I cannot see the posts saved, I am able to save more
• and yes I tried clicking to try to reload again

Does anyone notice something similar? Or am I just unlucky? Btw,I gave a look at the codeberg and found no similar issue.

Edit: I did some basic tests and apparently my display name was the cause of it( I took it off, logged off and back to eternity and now it works) I will see if I can open an issue at codeberg for it

Edit 2: I have made an issue at codeberg and hopefully I filled everything right so the dev can understand what was the problem.i also made some updates on how this problem works based on some more recent testing of myself and I actually find a sort of fix to it

Apologies if it’s already been addressed, but are there plans to release Eternity on the official F-droid repo? Would be great to see it there! And of course thanks to the dev and all the people who’ve put work into the app!

Is a release at the Play Store planned?

Yeah, I could install F-Droid for just one app, but I'm not going to :-). I am currently updating the app via the Codeberg Site, but auto-updates would be nicer.
