Just wanted to pop in and say a big hello to our brand new IndiaSocial community here on Lemmy! We're so excited to have you all join us.

What's the vibe here, you ask? Think of this as your chill corner of the Fediverse. Feel free to share those funny memes that made you chuckle, those light-hearted pics that brightened your day, or just chat about whatever casual topics are on your mind.

Whether it's a relatable observation about everyday Indian life, a cute animal picture, or just a simple "how's your day going?", this is the place for it. Let's keep things friendly, positive, and a little bit fun.

Looking forward to seeing your posts and getting to know you all! Let the good times roll! 😄🇮🇳

India is set to host its first-ever tomato festival, 'Toma Terra,' inspired by Spain's famous La Tomatina festival. The event is set to take place at Hyderabad's Experium Eco Park on May 11

On Tuesday, Amazon emailed Prime members in India to announce the rollout of “limited advertisements” on content streaming on Prime Video. Amazon originally announced in October that it would serve Prime Video ads in India starting sometime this year, without sharing specifics.

So, I am paying INR 1499 just to watch ads...!? F**k Bezos. No wonder people prefer pirating stuff over OTTs.

It is one of the stupidest articles I have read recently. Everything is so superficial and stupid. But it is a bonus to live a more environmentally friendly life. So, yay for sustainability ig.

When Maya* saw “recycling enthusiast” on someone’s dating profile, she didn’t roll her eyes—she texted him a green heart. “It was the first time I felt genuinely seen,” she says.

I was watching a random video about investment banking. The title was "what tf does investment bankers do"

The first lines of the video were "Imagine working 100 hours a week, surviving on anxiety, caffeine and probably other substances". That was literally my life when I was preparing for JEE exam

This thing is funny and scary at the same time. The average investment banker copes with stress the same way as a 17-18 year old JEE aspirant in india. Indian education system is fkd

I've been using fenugreek in cooking for a long time. Some weeks ago I spilt a bunch of seed on the floor, and didn't want to take the trouble to clean them, so they were gathered, and I planted some in a cold frame to protect from frost. A few weeks of watering, and now I have a little experimental start on eating fresh methi (fenugreek leaves). I've also made fenugreek sprouts, and they are quite tasty.

How to grow methi at home: https://www.wikihow.com/Grow-Fenugreek

Here are some recipes for methi: https://www.vegrecipesofindia.com/recipes/fenugreek/
