We transferred the first set of monthly profits from the sales of our Ultio Baphometis comp album (a compilation album of extreme metal/punk/'core artists who all have at least one gender non-conforming/trans/enby member) to TransActual, amounting to £103.37 (the album is set to a 'name your price' model, hence the odd amounts).

Our longer-term six month campaign 'Fruits of Knowledge' (which is a campaign to challenge bigotry and far-right extremism at its roots by increasing empathy via book reading) now has 2 months left to run. Its difficult to gauge what the final tally will be, but it will be in the hundreds of pounds.

We attended two alt/flea/fetish markets to both talk about what we do and also to sell merch and we are booked in for two more in the early Summer - details will be forthcoming when the markets themselves are announced.

As a side note - 100% of all profit from merch sales, either online or offline, goes to the orgs and charities we support. No one takes a single penny. We also publish our accounts publicly every 12 months (all donor names/details are redacted for privacy). The next publication date is Oct 31st this year.

We have restocked our shop, the image below shows a small selection of what's available. All designs are our own and no type of AI was used at any stage of the design process.

We have made the decision to remove our two podcasts, The Devil's Library and Devil's Discourse from Spotify, as of June this year. Spotify is terrible for artists and musicians and Daniel Ek's choices to invest heavily in AI and weaponry is unSatanic. If you do listen to our podcasts on Spotify, we urge you to find other ways - methods are outlined on our dedicated sites for each podcast.

We have a new Satanic Ritual in development, 'Rite of Golgotha' which will go live soon, alongside our others (youtube link - remember there are private ways to access youtube content).

We are in the return of the dark ages. Under the guise of tradition and religion, individual liberties are being attacked, and those who do not fit the mold are quickly losing their rights. Among the groups impacted the most is the LGBTQIA+ community, especially the trans community. All over the western world the LGBTQIA+ community is becoming the scapegoat for the supposed moral demise of society. Due to this, violence against LGBTQIA+ people is rising, and their rights are under threat.

Unfortunately, this is nothing new.

February is LGBTQIA+ history month in the UK. In light of this, we celebrate the courage it takes to live openly, the tenderness it takes to love honestly, and the fierce beauty of becoming who you truly are in a world that doesn’t always make it easy.  Pride is not just about visibility—it’s about survival, joy, chosen family, and the right to exist without apology.  To every LGBTQIA person: you are not a phase, a problem, or a debate. You are real, you are worthy, and you are loved.

We ask all members of the UK community, regardless of religion, belief, or creed, to inform themselves of the struggles of this community. When learning this history, don't think of them as stories or statistics -- every difficult story is from a person whose life is or was as complex as yours. Each statistic is a person who just wants to live and love as freely as you do. If you still do not support LGBQTIA+ rights after knowing the struggles that the LGBQTIA+ community has faced, we challenge you to think about why. If you believe that Pride is a sin, we remind you that there is no greater expression of unfounded Pride than assuming that you know what is better for one's life than they know themselves.

We stand with the LGBTQIA+ community, and we ask that you do too.

The Rite of Self-Authorship is a symbolic ritual open to any individual who wishes to consciously claim their own life.

It is not a rite of belief, submission, or conversion. No faith is required, no authority is granted, and no obligation is imposed. Participants may observe, engage partially, or take part fully — or simply watch and leave unchanged.

The rite marks a pause: a moment to recognise how much of a life can be shaped by inherited scripts, expectations, and unchosen roles. It offers a threshold for those who wish to move from passive existence into conscious authorship.

Participation does not promise transformation. It affirms responsibility. Helltraef does not name, elevate, or command — it witnesses.

This ritual is an invitation to stop waiting for permission, to stop outsourcing meaning, and to consciously accept the work of becoming the author of one’s own life.

Watching is enough. Participating is optional.
Authorship, however, cannot be delegated.

Tommy Robinson and his far-right supporters have apparently flocked to Christianity. The church is at a loss to know what to think about it, producing a response that is equal parts hand-wringing and appeasement. We're not - fascists should be shamed and ostracised. Help us fight them.

The world feels like an ever darkening place for trans people. In the UK, where the majority of us are based - including our trans members - recent news states that 70% of trans people feel under attack from a hostile BBC. Another report " ...demonstrates very clearly how individuals who fail to present within narrow societal preconceptions of gender have been harassed and abused as a direct result of EHRC ‘advice.’ " and in upcoming legislation (archive.is link to article in the Times) " ...places such as hospital wards, gyms and leisure centres will be able to question transgender women over whether they should be using single-sex services based on how they look, their behaviour or concerns raised by others. "

TGEU has noted 281 murders of trans people in this past year including "a notable rise in murders of activists and movement leaders... ". 88% of the people murdered were Black or Brown trans people.

This is grim reading. But the worst thing about it is that it's nothing new. We will continue to support all trans and non gender conforming people's right to exist, both within our organisation and outside of it even whilst we acknowledge those lost to violence.

Our latest podcast episode is now live. People are confused about the basis for Modern Atheistic Satanism so in this episode we go through our roots - the literary and political movement known as Romantic Satanism, discussing the works of people like John Milton, the Shelleys, Byron, William Blake, Giosue Carducci, George Sand as well as socialist and anarchist writers such as Mary Wollstonecraft, William Godwin, Pierre-Joseph Proudhon etc.

And we also have to admit a fuck up on our part. When we set up the webshop we didn't realise the provider (FourthWall) did things the US way (we're not American) and we set our prices not realising tax would be added after (seriously American's - doesn't this get incredibly confusing?). So we've now amended prices downward to take account of that. As ever, 100% of all profit we make goes to the charities and orgs we support, including for our latest campaign.

Tomorrow we're recording the first 'proper' episode of our new podcast Devil's Discourse, a sister podcast to our books/reading podcast The Devil's Library.

Neither podcast is officially aligned with Helltræf because we wanted to keep it open and independent but it is operated by Helltræf members. Subjects will cover a variety of things we're interested in, all from the perspective of Modern Atheistic Satanism. As with The Devil's Library, there will never be adverts or sponsors and we're not out to convert anyone.

Today we launched our first campaign: Fruits of Knowledge .

As activists – and also book podcasters! – we know that one of the best ways to increase empathy in people is through books and reading. This is not just an opinion we hold, it is scientifically valid. Reading is also great fun.

We therefore think that one of the best ways to combat the dull, stupid hateful bigotry and fascism that’s on the rise worldwide is to increase empathy by getting people reading – the earlier the better of course, but it’s never too late.

To that end we will be raising money via a 6 month campaign for the charity Give A Book who provide books and group reading clubs to prisons, detention centres, mother and baby units, remand centres as well as schools and other educational places.
