Thank you! Not sure how I missed that toggle, I guess my brain expected it to be somewhere in a sub-menu.
I like for it to open folders with a swipe and open the first app of the folder with a tap. I have figured out how to do this in Octopi now thanks to the other reply! Although it becomes slightly an issue with how folders in the dock behave slightly differently than folders on the home pages. But I think it's close enough to be a workable replacement for Nova finally!
I'm trying out Octopi right now, seems nice so far. But, is there any way to make folders open the first app with a tap, and open the folder by swiping? That's how I used Nova for years and years, very hard to break away from that
I'll add another recommendation for The Farseer trilogy by Robin Hobb, it is absolute peak storytelling imo
Robin Hobb's books are my favorite series of all time, probably across all forms of media too, highly highly highly recommend
It's obviously going to be way overpriced but if the rumored screen specs of the iPhone Fold are accurate, it could be remarkably one-hand-able with a 5.5" cover screen. And the extra thickness when it's closed might make grip actually better than most phones today that are kinda annoyingly thin.
Sadly I would never switch to iPhone even though I would like a device like that theoretically.

I don't have a bandwidth cap but my download speed is 40 Mbps max, soooo copying back and forth between HDD and SSD is way faster for me lol.
Plus, it doesn't happen much (if ever) that a game gets delisted/removed, but I prefer having a local copy of game files for games I care about rather than trusting remote servers to always have it available.

Yes that setting does exist, and it does work by letting Steam directly take over control of all the extra buttons on the controller... HOWEVER. It does a really bizarre thing where Steam will see multiple instances of the controller, one is the "correct" one, another is a basic Xbox 360 controller, and if you happen to power cycle the controller while Steam is running, then often the controller will not work at all anymore until you shut down Steam, then power cycle the controller again, then start up Steam again. I've seen other people reporting even more duplicates in Steam too, potentially based on whether you've installed Steam's extended Xbox controller driver? Not totally sure.
Also, while Steam is open, the controller doesn't work at all with any games not launched through Steam (game pass games, other launchers, etc.). There are workarounds for this, but still annoying.
It is supported in ReWASD now, but I think that gets fiddly when you have ReWASD and Steam running at the same time; I haven't really tried a proper setup in ReWASD yet.
Overall, just a very frustrating and inconsistent experience. When it's working, I really love it, but then there are nights where I spend 3 hours troubleshooting instead of just playing games.
