I think if you consider Patreon, also do consider OpenCollective as well. I know a lot of people including myself use it quite often.

I've set up a bunch of config files on my GitHub, so I clone the repo into my distro and symlink it to set up a bunch of stuff. I've also written a script that can install all my programs by reading through a text file. It's helpful to get up and running quickly

I think the bot account is already flagged as one, and going to its profile shows you it has been made to crosspost from Reddit. I guess it makes sense to ban it at a per-user level because some users might like to see content cross posted from there.

Wow the CNN lite thing is awesome! I think it'd be great to set up a permanent redirect to it from the CNN website. Probably will use TamperMonkey and set it up

I definitely would love to learn how to add more themes to the settings. Is it only something an instance admin can do?

Same, I was also about to comment this. Honestly I'm a little surprised because I found 1Password's UI to be the best for me, more so than LastPass, DashLane and KeePass (haven't tried BitWarden but clearly there's a huge fanbase)

I was actually looking into buying ThinkPads. Would you say they're as good/maintainable/upgradeable as they used to be? Or is it better to get a MacBook and replace it after 5 or so years?

Same, I'm trying to be more active in terms of at least commenting and upvoting than I was on Reddit, a little bit because I hope more comments and activity will help bring in more people, and a little bit because I think each user's voice is more important when there's fewer users
