It's still fascinating to me how orgasm patterns follow hormones rather than anatomy. I'm a trans man and I definitely remember the widespread, "tingly" sort of arousal/orgasms before I was on T. Overall I prefer the T ones, but I guess that's not surprising.

Battery life, less eyestrain, and being able to use a stylus and take notes

Well, I don't have DID, but from what I understand, alters are just people? They might hold some traumatic memories and experiences, but they're not like...serial killers. I recommend looking up stuff written by people with DID if you're curious.

I've been on a deep dive about Mormonism, so I'm gonna say Joseph Smith. Yknow, earlier than he was actually killed.

On the one hand, 150 years puts us at 1876, so closer to living memory than you might think. On the other hand, a fair number of people aren't even doing that cursory level of math.

Basically everything and anything to do with mental health/psychology. People with Dissociative Identity Disorder (or "Multiple Personality Disorder" as it used to be known) do not have "evil" alters. DID is also not the same thing as schizophrenia. OCD is often not focused on hygiene or cleanliness. Antidepressants aren't "happy pills," and while emotional blunting is a possible side effect (not the entire point of taking the medication!), it's often a sign that you're on the wrong dose or the wrong medication. People don't typically self-harm because they're suicidal. Eating disorders don't always have a focus on body image and anyone of any body size can be affected. There's no singular mental illness that causes people to be abusive or violent, and mentally ill people are more likely to be victims of violence than perpetrators. Etcetera.

That's weird, when I type it, it says "hunter2"

I'm a native English speaker with auditory processing problems. I have occasionally mistaken spoken German for "English that my brain didn't want to cooperate with."

It terrifies me that this man is a psychiatrist.

I've got an old Dell Inspiron N5010 with similar specs. Palemoon and Seamonkey both work decently, and both of them have adblock extensions available. I also agree with the recommendation to change OS if that's a possibility, though I would NOT recommend Linux Lite; I have never found it to be very fast. I'd recommend MX Linux or antiX.

Part of the problem is that the "Just Use BSD" Guys are to the FOSS-sphere what the "Just Use Linux" Guys are to the rest of the world.

OK, so a lot of people have a recurring dream where you have to go back to high school because you missed a graduation requirement, even though you're a grown-ass adult. But I'm curious if anyone knows what would actually happen in this scenario. Would they wave it off, or would you need to take a college class, or get your GED (or equivalent)? Any educators out there to enlighten us?

If you've only ever heard "Gangnam Style," you're missing out!

I'd been pronouncing it as "Mackle-more" but then I watched Todd In The Shadows' new video about him, and I swear he pronounced it "Mack-le-more" for half the video, and now I don't know which one is the real pronounciation and which one is the joke. I have no strong feelings about him as an artist one way or another but I'd feel like a dick if I'd been inadvertently clowning on him for over a decade.

Last night I had a "back in school" dream, only in this one, the McElroy brothers were helping me cheat on a project. Unsurprisingly, Justin was the most helpful. What weird ones have y'all had?
