Here is some context. This person is complaining about a private organization choosing to contract out a performance to a celebrity who choose a theme to highlight black people or to tell a black story.

Here is statistical context usa is 14% black. The NFL is approximately 70% black. White people are around 60% of the US population. Generally speaking sports are merit based. Generally speaking all Pop culture things are influenced, inspired, and sometimes down right stolen from black cultures.

Small article quote "only 11% had a creator of color and 25% had a female creator. White men made up 77.3% of all show creators, and only 14.8% of their shows featured underrepresented stories.

White men also accounted for 46.3% of all TV deal recipients last year.

Additionally, just 14.3% of lead actors had a known disability and there were no female creators who were Latina, Native or Middle Eastern and North African and zero Native or Middle Eastern and North African female leads or co-leads in the included streaming series." https://www.thewrap.com/ucla-hollywood-diversity-report-2024-streaming-series-white-leads/

Essentially there needs to be a strong reversal for a LONG Time for any program to be anywhere controversial. Highlighting untold and often ignored stories is good.

Every time a capitalist system is implemented the oligarchy grows and seizes power and some corrupt oligarchs usurp the power of the people. What does that say about capitalism? I think your generalized question is terribly bad faithed when every can point out the US system and straight capitalism is a failure also. Rather then generalized ideas and theory we look at all the systems and see what does work and how we can keep the power in the hands of people

I think the issue is corruption, power, and control. To have a capitalist society you must allow businesses do what they want or they will seize power. In a communist society power is centralized when it is focused on the state as a communistic in which power and control when questioned or control loosened gets cracked down.

Democratic Republicans are great but there is a few problems when they move so slow. One, what if the charter is never fixed when we add more rights. We just tack it on as precedent and never amend the charter.

Second,if the population is growing is it still representing people properly. I think having a representative for every 1 million people is to huge. And the fact we have disparities as large as 1 to million but then some have as low as 1 in 250k. Is unequal.

Third. I don't think as long as businesses hold power over an individuals life businesses should have political power. They hold to much currently. Also the fact through a business they can unlimitedly donate money but i as an individual can only spend $2,500(somewhere around there is the campaign cap)on a candidate is insane power wise.

Fourth a mixed economic/ business system would be wonderful a more planned economy by what citizens need would be nice. Also economy and business shouldn't be running the country. The individual people should.

Fifth States are stupid unless they can leave. The lines/borders are arbitrarily stupid and the fact the power federal is based on the lines fucks us up. If so chooses states should be able to break apart and make local states of the people so it is easier to have democratic control over your local area. Yes this means almost every state would become major cities and then the rural areas. Unless they want to partner with a city.

Place you want to be is a better caveat. Places you have been before is counterable with the original argument since when you account for space on a universal level every Place is a new place

Also Census is suppose to count EVERY one in the states since when put in law some people weren't citizens. Also Trump tried to do average citizens question on the Census and it got struck down at the Supreme Court

Normies isn't an elitist term it is a counter culture term for people outside the norm to refer to the general opinion. It is the not like us statement or the fact that there is experience that one would not understand fully unless they are in a subset group.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Normie_(slang)

was first used in its original meaning of "ordinary, normal" in English in the 1950s.[6] According to Merriam-Webster, the term "normie" appeared in the late 1980s in the United States. It was used ironically by people with disabilities in reference to the rest of the population.[2] In the late 1990s, the term was used in Alcoholics Anonymous literature to refer to individuals who were not addicted to any substances.[7]

Since the early 2000s it has been spreading on the Internet.[2][4] In the Russian-language sphere, popularization was promoted by the use of the imageboard Dvach, whose users consider themselves representatives of informal culture, which is expressed in controversial publications, non-standard political views, black humor, involvement in various subcultures.[8]

Daryl Davis is talking about a different time when the outward racists were holding their beliefs and weren't actively being violent towards others. Daryl Davis could easily have been killed as many people have before him. He only changed 20-40 minds directly he says maybe 200 indirectly. 1980s to 2000s was a different time. You can change an individuals mind in private if you foster a close connection with them. You can't stop Nazis and racists in power with words. Never has non violent protests worked without violent protests and back drops. From women's rights to nazi Germany. Power needs to be forcibly stripped from their hands and they need to fear the publics judgment to put their hate in the closet then when things calm down we can take the hate out of the closet and talk it out. But not until after they drop the reins of power. You can't help others root through their hatred when they are carting family's away.

Yes. As a dude I recognize that a woman going on a date with a random person is and feels dangerous to most women. I am more than happy to go on a group date or hang out with friends she feels comfortable with for first bit of getting to know a person for like a month to first couple dates. Then once we are looking to know each other closer we can have more private dates. That being said I shouldn't be expected to pay for anyone's experience but my own in these dates or hangouts. Maybe my dates but even still definitely not the friends.

...not if you are poor quick check on google. Found the world inequality database. Richest 3% of income is $250k per year usd 240 million people reach this level globally. Richest 6% wealth wise globally is around $1 million usd 480 million people have that wealth which i mean is a lot but that is probably all land and housing. Soooo yeah way less then 1% globally could really afford this boat.
