Appreciated but the votes are still visible, just separated. Which I do prefer over the default, so I'll take it for now. Ty
Try the third option, βhideβ. I just tried it. It hides the numbers but still enables voting, unless Iβm missing something. You can vote on comments with the swipe gestures.
Holy shit I'm an idiot. IT WORKED!!!
Thanks a lot! I'm gonna up vote you for that, and in return you can up vote me or down vote me or do nothing, and now I won't see it!
Apologies for the waste of a post. I'm usually pretty thorough with the settings menu but this one snuck by.
Ty!!
No worries! We are all human and it can be easy to overlook things sometimes. Have a wonderful day in your new found bliss!
It really is a big step towards online bliss π
Appreciate ya!
The third option is βhideβ. That will hide them.
Sync has this option and I've got it enabled. It's nice, I feel more comfortable typing what I feel without my brain subconsciously stressing about whether I'll be downvoted
It is nice. At least if somebody has something to say, they actually need to say it to you directly. Votes have no effect, no reach, because you just can't see them.
And if your stuff gets down voted into oblivion, either somebody will tell you why or if there are no comments, you'll be able to recognize the reason as silent and non-noteworthy.
Exactly
Seconded. This is how I have it set up on the web and in one of my two Lemmy apps. One is Voyager, the other is Mlem (and I'm in the TestFlight, so it's not the App Store version). They're both good apps, but I've been leaning more into Voyager lately.
My ideal is to be able to vote but not see any weights or values. I also sort by new (comments and topics) and browse /all.
